The Maine Recruitment Center (MRC) was formed in 1999 to attract healthcare professionals to Maine.

A need for this service was identified by a broad coalition of professionals within the Maine Hospital Association, plus area hospitals, community and rural health centers and clinics, Maine's Office of Primary Health Care, and the physician community at large. Representatives of these groups participated in the design of a service which stands apart from other recruitment agencies.

Guided by an advisory committee consisting of volunteers from various organizations, the MRC is staffed by specialists who are salaried employees of the Maine Hospital Association. The MRC is a nonprofit operation funded by membership dues and placement fees which are far lower than those of typical, third-party recruitment agencies.

As a service of the Maine Hospital Association, the MRC represents the needs of the vast majority of hospitals and practices across the state. This makes the MRC an easy, one-stop resource for job seekers interested in healthcare career opportunities in Maine.

Hiring organizations welcome the MRC's assistance in attracting, screening, qualifying and referring professionals appropriate to their specific needs. Our relationships with hiring authorities help MRC referrals to get priority attention.

We handle all inquiries on a strict, confidential basis.

The services of the MRC are cost free to the job seeker.
