Maine Coast Memorial Hospital, is seeking an orthopedic surgeon to join a well established employed practice. A current Fellow or fellowship trained in foot/ankle or joint replacement with expertise in arthroscopic technique would be a perfect fit for this practice. The call is 1 in 4. The position offers a competitive compensation, signing bonus, assistance with medical education debt. The well established practice serves all of coastal “down east” Maine. The area has an abundance of recreational and cultural offerings with easy access to Acadia National Park. The population is an eclectic mix of professionals, artists, fishermen, small business owners.

Maine Coast Memorial Hospital is fully accredited, 64-bed community hospital with a service area over 21,000. Four brand new, state-of-the-art operating rooms opened recently as a part of a $10.2 million, three story/25,000 square foot expansion project. This expansion includes inpatient and outpatient support areas that substantially increase patient privacy while giving providers access to the latest tools and conveniences. The spring of 2010 marked the completion of the new expanded Emergency Dept. Currently under construction is the new cancer care center which will be located in the former ED space.
