The Norway Sidewalk Art Festival in July sees nearly 100 artists from northern New England exhibit their work to the public. Year round galleries offer the wares of local artisans and others in historic buildings with indescribable character. Unique downtown shops offer everything from hardware to men’s wear (literally from overalls to formal wear), and furniture to personal care goods. Several large lakes are located in Norway making year-round lakeside living an option. You are also within 30 minutes of Sunday River Ski Resort, a premier ski venue.

Inland Hospital located in Waterville is seeking a daytime hospitalist working 7 on and 7 off. Inland is a 48-bed hospital with an active staff 59 physicians. The position offers 35 days of vacation, very competitive base salary, comprehensive benefits, signing bonus, and generous assistance with medical education debt. A good fit for this opportunity is a Board Certified/Eligible Internist with strong critical care background. This is not a underserved community unable to sponsor J-1 waiver. Will look at foreign graduates with US training on H-1 B visa. Inland Hospital is part of a network of 6 hospitals all part of Eastern Maine Healthcare. Eastern Maine Medical Center the 400-bed tertiary care facility is part of the network and provides access to a comprehensive array of specialty care. Located in Waterville Maine which is a college community within easy proximity to many recreational and cultural options. For details contact Jane Ham, 800-546-4090, jham@themha.org.

Hospital
Inland Hospital is a 48-bed community hospital and part of Eastern Maine Healthcare Systemswith an active medical staff of 59 physicians, and an additional staff of 125+ courtesy/consulting doctors. Because of its affiliation with Eastern Maine, Inland is able to provide access to higher levels of care through Eastern Maine Medical Center, located in Bangor, Maine. Inland is connected to EMMC via telemedicine technology and recently built a heliport adjacent to its Emergency Department so that it can easily transport patients to a tertiary care center. Eastern Maine Medical Center provides all levels of care to include a state of the art Neo Natal Intensive Care Unit.

Although Inland is small enough to give personal care and attention to each patient, the hospital is large enough to offer specialized medicine. Their staff of skilled specialists provides a range of services allowing patients in need to get special care close to home. For example, Inland Hospital recently opened the Sleep Center of Maine(SCOM), a new center offering diagnosis and treatment for patients with sleep-related disorders (including insomnia, sleep apnea, excessive snoring and sleep disturbances).

Inland Hospital strives for quality in every aspect of its operation. This is why a national industry magazine named Inland Hospital’s Laboratory “Medical Laboratory of the Year” for excellence in customer service, attentiveness to patient care, productivity, quality control, and other key indicators.

Watervilleis a mid-sized college town located in lower-central Maine. With its outlying suburbs and surrounding rural communities, hospitals in Waterville estimate that their service area exceeds 65,000 people. This family-friendly community offers seemingly endless recreational opportunities, superior public schools, affordable real estate, and great shopping facilities. It’s a wonderful place to call home!
