Qualified physicians will be boarded in FP, IM with emergency medicine experience or Emergency Medicine trained physician. The schedule is 12 hr. shifts, averaging 11-1/2 shifts per month. The ED is double staffed with physician and physiciain assistant from 10:00 am to 10: pm. A separate &#8220;quick care&#8221; is staffed from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. There are 5 full time physicians with moonlighters rounding out the schedule. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>A large, private neurology practice in the highly desirable community of <strong>Bangor</strong><strong>, Maine</strong>, is seeking to expand. Join their staff of ten physicians providing a full range of neurological services to patients of all ages.</p>
<p>At this time, we are seeking <strong>two Board certified or Board eligible general neurologists</strong>; one interested in <strong>reading EEG’s</strong>, and a second with a <strong>subspecialty interest in EMG</strong>.  New or experienced physicians are welcome.</p>
<p>This practice is located in a modern building with 13,000 square feet of dedicated office and exam space. The practice has a 4-bedroom sleep lab, EEG, EMG, and TCD facilities all on site in the office. Doctors here get their own private office, and they share exam rooms and support staff.  Patients are admitted to either <strong>St. Joseph</strong><strong> Hospital</strong> or to <strong>Eastern</strong><strong> Maine Medical Center</strong>. Together, these hospitals serve a community of over 120,000 people.  Direct access to data from the hospitals is available via your home computer.</p>
<p><strong><em>Weekend call is handled on a very manageable 1:8 basis</em></strong>! The physician on call will <strong>read CT&#8217;s either at work or at home</strong>.</p>
<p>The selected physician will receive an attractive compensation package that includes a base salary for the first year, and status as an employee. After the first year, pending partnership approval, the doctor can then buy into the practice as a partner and begin to earn a productivity incentive package in addition to the base salary.</p>
<p>Numerous other benefits are provided, including health insurance; money for CME expenses, association dues and licensing, etc.; plus life insurance and a retirement plan; and a generous amount of paid time off.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The unbridged island of Vinalhaven, located just 12 miles off the coast of Rockland Maine is seeking a full time Medical Director!  This Federally Qualifying Health Center provides care to 1200 year-round residents and upwards of 4,000 individuals during the summer months.  An average of 4,500 medical clinic visits per year and 300 home visits makes this an active and rewarding practice.  A team of eight helps round out this “Medical Home” model, allowing for a continuum of care.</p>
<p>The selected candidate will be responsible for providing and supervising the delivery of all medical care offered which will include visits to the assisted living facility located on the island.  As the Medical Director the selected candidate will also oversee the work of all clinical professional staff employed by the practice, to include locum tenens.   There will also be administrative responsibilities, such as establishing, implementing and monitoring all of the medical policies, procedures, and triage protocols. </p>
<p>Call for this position is 2 days per work week and 1:3 weekends. </p>

Outpatient services include Day Surgery, Laboratory, Diagnostic Imaging (including the most advanced CT, PET scans and MRI), Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy, and a Hearing Center.</p>
