You are invited to join a busy, established hospital-based mental health treatment program in Maine&#8217;s highly desirable Mid Coast region. Become part of a team of professionals providing therapy and medication and other treatment options. This group has a comprehensive approach that considers the patient’s physical well being in addition to their mental health.</p>
<p>Call is 1:7 and primarily handled by phone, with the exception of 1:7 weekend inpatient call. An excellent salary and benefits package will be offered to the selected candidate, and will include a guaranteed income, paid relocation expenses, and assistance with medical educational debt if appropriate, plus much more.</p>
<p><strong>Pen Bay Medical Center</strong> is a modern 89-bed, full-service community hospital overlooking beautiful Penobscot Bay in Glen Cove, Maine, serving a population of 50,000. <span style="text-decoration: underline;">Well trained highly skilled medical staff</span> have come from all over the country to practice in this area, to work with other topnotch professionals and live in an area of incredible beauty. In virtually every area of the hospital, the nurses are certified in their special area of nursing practice. The hospital provides a full array of subspecialty and surgical services. <strong>PBMC is committed to staying abreast of the latest developments in medicine</strong> and to bringing their community superior healthcare services in a pleasant and healing atmosphere.</p>
<p>This medical center also houses an 18-bed inpatient adult acute psychiatric unit, and a successful history of providing adult stepped collaborative psychiatric consultation as well as outpatient substance abuse programs. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>A Central Maine hospital is seeking an Adult Psychiatrist to handle inpatient care in their 30 bed, Waterville Maine facility.  The selected candidate will join a team of 7 employed physicians who provide multidisciplinary inpatient, outpatient and consultative services.  Candidates must be BE/BC for consideration.</p>
<p>The selected candidate will be offered a competitive compensation package to include a base salary with incentive bonuses, relocation and medical student loan assistance.</p>
<p><strong>The MaineGeneral Medical Center</strong> is a hospital with two campuses, one in Augusta and one in Waterville, about twenty minutes apart when using I-95, Maine’s major freeway. Combined, the two facilities have nearly 300 beds. MaineGeneral provides a wide range of high-quality acute care, emergency room, medical/surgical care, maternal and child health, inpatient and outpatient diagnostic services and programs. Together, the two campuses serve a population of more than 130,000 people, and they combine to treat over 300,000 outpatients annually.</p>
