Opportunity in Beautiful Coastal Maine

Solo physician with a very busy practice is looking for a partner. This practice is located in a beautiful coastal location, ½ hr from Acadia National Park and minutes from the ocean’s edge. You will join an Ophthalmologist who has been practicing in the community for 13 years, has built a large patient centered medical and surgical practice. Surgical procedures are performed at Mount Desert Island Hospital in Bar Harbor. You will participate in a call group with four other physicians serving several rural hospitals in the area. This opportunity comes with a base salary and percent of practice profits.

The region boasts a lively arts scene, its’ schools achieve high academic ratings while offering a wide array of athletic and extra curricular activities.

The Mount Desert Island Hospital (MDI)organization includes eight regional health centers, an orthopedic clinic, and a hospital-based breast center, all conveniently located to ensure that patients have easy access to quality care. The hospital boasts a medical staff of twenty physicians (with two dozen more on courtesy staff) plus a host of additional providers and has a service area over 10,000.
