An excellent opportunity has become available for a physician interested in working full time with senior residents. If you are currently in a geriatric fellowship program or are a primary care physician experienced in elder care, this position will be of interest to you.

Southern Maine Geriatrics Associates an innovative practice in the greater Portland area seeks a geriatrician for skilled/rehab, nursing home and assisted living settings. The group uses a collaborative treatment model with nurse practitioners. The field of geriatric medicine is rapidly expanding and in increasing demand in Maine. Adding another physician is critical to meeting new requests for services. In addition to clinical responsibilities, opportunities exist for LTC medical direction and teaching medical students and residents.

This is an outpatient only, four days per week, with a very comfortable 1 in 8 call schedule. There is a highly competitive salary, generous fringe benefits and partnership option.
