Millinocket Regional Hospital is seeking an Internist with Oncology background. This is a developing service which initially will combine IM and Oncology. As cancer care is consolidated around tertiary care centers, and fewer clinics are offered to rural areas, the need to offer a level of service within the local community is turning into a critical need. We are looking for a physician who will offer IM care in a combined office and hospital practice, and is willing to start offering oncologic services, likely chemo therapy. It is projected that a full time Hematology/Oncology practice will evolve. You will share inpatient responsibilities with another physician. Call is 1 in 4. A very competitive compensation package is offered.
