Position
An Internist is sought to join Pines Health Centers at their Presque Isle location with some time required at the Health Center in Caribou. This position is full-time, five days a week with an outstanding call rotation of 4 days per month and the occasional back up on weekends. Expect 1,300 to 1,500 patient visits a year including nursing home and in-office visits. The patient panel is adult with a heavy concentration of geriatrics. You would have the pleasure of working with 8 Internists, including 3 Hospitalists, and 2 Family Practitioners. Inpatient and weekend coverage will be provided by the Hospitalists. Pines Health Services is a physician practice management organization governed by a volunteer board of directors, and strong, supportive relationships with Cary Medical Center. This group has 23 physicians and 9 midlevels who have provided care to a primary and secondary service area of 35,000 for over 20 years. The Pines has a dedicated Urology practice at their Caribou location, three Vascular Surgeons, and a telephone triage system. The warm seasons attract many visitors to northern Maine for kayaking, canoeing and fishing, hiking and backpacking, camping and hunting.
