Berwick: FP invited to join busy private practice in desirable Far Southern COASTAL Maine!
Requirements:

The southern tip of Maine, near the Atlantic coast and the border with New Hampshire, is one of the fastest growing and most desirable areas in the entire state. We are currently recruiting for a busy private practice in this region that is ready to expand!

This new opportunity is open to graduating residents or currently practicing doctors. The incoming physician will offer a full scope of primary care without OB. You will be responsible for inpatient medicine, so strong hospital skills are a must. Please note: Qualified candidates must be Board Certified or Board Eligible. Our client is a private practice seeking their next partner, so we need to find not only a skilled clinician, but a capable, dependable and eager personality as well. If you are personable and motivated, easy going but dedicated, you may be the right fit for this practice!

This is a full time position with a four days per week schedule! The hiring practice presently has four physicians covering two locations (in South Berwick and Berwick, Maine), and they’re ready to grow to a fifth doctor! The incoming physician will spend time in each office, in addition to helping cover the York Hospital walk-in Urgent Care Center (also in Berwick). Call will be shared on a 1:5 basis (weekdays and weekends).

York Hospital is sponsoring this expansion, and will support the new physician for two years with income guarantee. The practice is providing an additional incentive/profit sharing plan based on your individual productivity. Many other benefits will also be provided, including paid interview and relocation expenses, paid liability insurance, paid leave plus expenses for CME, health insurance, paid vacation time, and much more. As you transition into a partnership role with the hiring practice (assuming all goes well) your income will include a base salary plus additional profit sharing/productivity generated income, enabling you to earn a very comfortable living!

You will be proud to be a part of this well respected, well-established practice. This dynamic group has enjoyed steady growth as a result of a high level of patient loyalty and support. You will enjoy admitting to and caring for your patients in the 72-bed York Hospital, “Maine's Most Caring Hospital,” according to Down East Magazine. This well equipped, full-service community hospital is located just minutes from the practice.

This practice is located in wonderful rural community offering safe, family-friendly neighborhoods with excellent schools. You’ll be near to Portland, ME, and even nearer to Portsmouth, NH. This site is just minutes from local beaches!

The Portland area is a terrific. You’ll be free to enjoy a whole host of unique restaurants and shops, plus theatres, a symphony orchestra, and many other cultural offerings – just a few of the reasons that Portland’s harbor has become an increasingly popular destination for cruise ships. Mainers value higher education, demonstrated by a range of universities, technical and community colleges, plus business and fine arts schools, many of which are based in and around Portland. Maine’s largest city is also home to two semi-pro sports teams: Portland Sea Dogs Baseball, and Portland Pirates Hockey! Portland has a modern airport, giving you immediate access to the world – or you can drive. Boston is under 90 minutes away by car, or via southern Maine’s new commuter rail service.

If you enjoy the out of doors, you’ll find many fun-filled ways to spend your leisure time. Maine's downhill skiing is spectacular, and you’ll be around 90 minutes from the beautiful Longfellow Range in Maine’s western counties. You might enjoy other winter activities, such as snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling and ice fishing. In warmer seasons, Maine offers fantastic hiking, biking and backpacking on trails all over the state. Perhaps you’d prefer to go camping, fishing or hunting. Maine also offers all types of boating, from canoeing and kayaking to sailing and whitewater rafting, plus golfing, rock climbing, and much, much more. If you prefer something a little more tame, try antiquing, bird watching, or maybe nature photography! There is truly something for everyone, in every season.

Southern Maine offers a range of residential lifestyle choices. You can elect to live in a suburban setting close to the practice, or in one of several towns or quiet rural communities nearby. You may prefer to find some acreage in nearby interior, perhaps on one of Maine’s many picturesque lakes, rivers and streams.

Interested candidates should respond quickly. We do not expect this opportunity to be available for long! Coastal living, a terrific professional opportunity, and an abundance of cultural and recreational distractions can all be yours when you come to Maine! Please note that this position is not in an underserved area.
