St. Andrews Hospitalin Boothbay is assisting a private general surgeon in the recruitment of a partner. This surgeon has been practicing in the area for 15 years, has a large referral base and enough volume to support another surgeon. Call is shared with another practice, and is a comfortable 1 in 5. This is a bread and butter surgical practice, with a significant amount of endoscopic work, if interested. Almost all surgery is done laparoscopically, these skills are required.

Surgery is conducted at St. Andrews Hospital in Boothbay and Miles Memorial Hospital in nearby Damariscotta. A new office building is being built on the campus of St. Andrews and will be ready by early fall. The implementation of EMR at both facilities is anticipated in the coming months. A competitive compensation package is offered with options for employment or private practice with a guaranteed salary.

St. Andrews Hospital, a 28-bed facility, serving a population of 6,000 year round residents, is a respected rural healthcare center focused on patient care, comfort, and safety provided by a personable, professional staff utilizing the finest technology and equipment. St. Andrews Health Care has 21-bed skill care unit, 30-bed long term care, residential care and an early Alzheimer Unit. Miles Memorial Hospital is a 38-bed facility that strives to provide quality health care to 11,500 year round residents of Lincoln County. These two hospitals are located just 18 miles apart making travel between the two quick and easy. Boothbay Harbor, Maine, is located on the marvelous coast of Maine.
