A large, private neurology practice in the highly desirable community of Bangor, Maine, is seeking to expand. Join their staff of eight physicians providing a full range of neurological services to patients of all ages. Currently, their specialists do EEG, EMG, MRI, and sleep medicine. This group receives referrals and provides support to two major hospitals in Bangor (each located less than three miles away from the office). At this time, we are seeking a physician who will specialize in pediatric neurology almost exclusively. New or experienced physicians are welcome. Experience with EMG and/or EEG is highly desirable, with EMG in the greatest demand. Candidates must be able to read CTs. If you feel your background and skills are close enough for consideration, please contact us to discuss this potential match! Our client is a practice with very attractive, well-outfitted facilities. Enjoy working in a modern building with 13,000 square feet of dedicated office and exam space. The practice has a 4-bedroom sleep lab, EEG, EMG, and TCD facilities all on site in the office. Doctors here get their own private office, and they share exam rooms and support staff. You will also have direct access to data from the hospitals via your home computer. Neurologists will work both in the hospital and in the practice offices. Call is split into half-days during the week, and weekend call is handled on a very manageable 1:8 basis! The physician on call will read CT’s either at work or at home. The selected physician will receive an attractive compensation package that includes a base salary for the first year, and status as an employee. After the first year, pending partnership approval, the doctor can then buy into the practice as a partner and begin to earn a productivity incentive package in addition to the base salary. Numerous other benefits are provided, including health insurance; money for CME expenses, association dues and licensing, etc.; plus life insurance; and a generous amount of paid time off. Help with relocation expenses will also be provided. Patients will be admitted to either St. Joseph Hospital or to Eastern Maine Medical Center. Together, these hospitals serve a community over 120,000 people. St. Joseph Hospital is a 112-bed acute care, not-for-profit community hospital that is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, and is licensed by the Maine Department of Human Services.
