A rural community health center in the town of Albion in central Maine is looking for a Family Practice Physician. This is a full time position and includes both inpatient and outpatient medicine as well as obstetric services Hospital care is provided at the nearby MaineGeneral Medical Center in Waterville. Albion is a small town of just 2000 people located in the rolling hills, woods and farming country about twenty minutes east of Waterville, and about 40 minutes NE of Augusta and about 40 minutes from the coastal town of Belfast. The selected physician will join three doctors and one family nurse practitioner to provide quality care in a picturesque, affordable area. Call responsibilities include covering one weeknight per week, and just 1:8 weekends. This modern office is one of the larger health centers in a network of 11 locations serving rural parts of central and western Maine. The Lovejoy Center has been a part of this community since 1978, and manages some 19,000 patient visits annually. Your salary will be calculated based upon your level of experience. Additional benefits may include such things as a paid malpractice, paid relocation, participation in a pension plan with employer contributions, and possibly some Medical Education Debt Assistance.
