Penobscot Bay Medical Center is looking for a full-time Emergency Medicine Physician. The volume is 26,000 visits per year a good general distribution, with acuity typical of a community hospital. This Emergency Department has 12 beds and is well equipped with a new ultrasound machine that was purchased just a few months ago. PACS is fully operational, and the department is moving aggressively toward a paperless system. Currently, there are 8 ED physicians who make sure there is 35-39 hours of coverage in the ER daily. A two physician model is used, with shifts typically 8 hrs. Shifts are evenly distributed. The only special preference given is for physicians who prefer to work at night. The hired candidate will receive a competitive base salary, incentive bonuses, and a full benefits package.

Penobscot Bay Medical Center is a modern 89-bed, full-service community hospital overlooking beautiful Penobscot Bay in Glen Cove, Maine, serving a population of 50,000. This medical center also houses an 18-bed inpatient adult acute psychiatric unit, and a successful history of providing adult stepped collaborative psychiatric consultation as well as outpatient substance abuse programs. These services are now being expanded to provide child/adolescent psychiatric consultation.

This school is part of the association, National Coalition of Alternative Community Schools and can accommodate students in grades K-12.
