Goodall Hospital is launching a hospitalist service and is seeking an experienced hospitalist to implement and direct this new service. Initially, the service will operate as an 8-5 Monday–Friday, daytime program. The program will unfold within a 3 year time span. The hospital has 7-8 admissions daily, average workload of 10 patients. There are 7 Internists in general practice located in a new medical office building adjacent to the hospital, three physicians have CCU experience. The ideal candidate will have CCU comfort and experience, leadership experience or readiness with the political acumen and communication skills needed to start this new service. A compensation and benefits package will be attractive for qualified candidates. Goodall Hospital is a wonderful 49-bed community hospital located in Sanford, Maine. The hospital has an active medical staff of 58, with a more-than-20 primary care physician referral resource. This hospital offers a comprehensive inpatient program and has access to all necessary medical specialties with referral relationships to metropolitan areas. Goodall Hospital is a Level II trauma center with a 24 hour Emergency Department that sees about 23,000 ER visits a year.
