Mayo Regional Hospital is a non-profit, 25-bed critical access hospital located in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine. Mayo Hospital has 22 physicians and 320 staff members dedicated to providing acute medical/surgical care, intensive care, surgical services and obstetrics in an inpatient setting, as well as a wide array of outpatient services to an area slightly above 22,000.

Since you’re just 90 minutes south of Baxter State Park, you’ll have to make a trip to the majestic Mt. Katahdin, Maine’s highest mountain, rising nearly a full mile into the sky. Baxter State Park is a 200,000 acre paradise for anyone who loves nature.
Located just 10 minutes west of Dover-Foxcroft is Guilford where you can find Lowes Bridge. Built in 1857, it was washed away by the horrendous flood of 1987. A modern covered bridge, patterned after the original, was built in 1990 in its place. The bridge crosses the mighty Piscataquis River. This is a site to see!
Each spring the Moosehead Lake Region hosts a month long celebration honoring the regions favorite resident - "the Moose". Some of the activities include: a Canoe Race, Tour De Moose mountain bike race and tour, Rowing Regatta, Craft Fair, Kids Fun Day and the famous Moose Tales. You won’t want to miss out on this Moose Mania!
The school system in Dover-Foxcroft is excellent. Parents can choose from 3 elementary schools. All students attend the same middle school, Se Do Mo Cha Middle School, and one high school, Foxcroft Academy.
