Frenchmen Bay Orthopedics, an employed three physician is seeking a fourth Orthopedic Surgeon. The practice serves all of coastal “down east” Maine. The practice is employed by Maine Coast Memorial Hospital, a 65-bed community hospital serving a population of 21,000. Ellsworth is the hub of Hancock County, with an eclectic mix of small businesses, professionals, fisherman, and a vibrant arts scene. It is also 30-mintues away from Acadia National Park with some of the best hiking and kayaking in all of New England. Maine Coast Memorial Hospital is fully accredited, 64-bed community hospital with a service area over 21,000. Four brand new, state-of-the-art operating rooms opened recently as a part of a $10.2 million, three story/25,000 square foot expansion project. This expansion includes inpatient and outpatient support areas that substantially increase patient privacy while giving providers access to the latest tools and conveniences. New Emergency Room facilities were another part of the hospital’s major update.
