We are actively recruiting a Urologist for a busy private practice affiliated with the MaineGeneral Medical Center. This prominent organization operates two major hospitals in the neighboring towns of Augusta and Waterville with a combined capacity of over 300 beds!

The hiring practice offers general urology services to patients of all ages. The new physician will be the third in the group, and the call is shared with another practitioner, so for the incoming doctor call will be just 1:4. If you are selected, you will receive a very competitive starting salary on a two year guarantee basis, along with comprehensive benefits including generous time off, paid relocation, and maybe even medical debt assistance. If all goes well, a partnership opportunity will be extended prior to the end of your contract. If you prefer to have an employed situation, that is an option as well.

The MaineGeneral Medical Center is a hospital with two campuses, one in Augusta and one in Waterville, about twenty minutes apart when using I-95, Maine's major freeway. Combined, the two hospital facilities have nearly 300 beds. MaineGeneral provides a wide range of high-quality acute care, emergency room, medical/surgical care, maternal and child health, inpatient and outpatient diagnostic services and programs. The two campuses together serve a population of more than 130,000 people, and they combine to treat over 300,000 outpatient visits annually.

Waterville is a mid-sized college town located in lower-central Maine. With its outlying suburbs and surrounding rural communities, hospitals in Waterville estimate that their service area exceeds 65,000 people. This family-friendly community offers seemingly endless recreational opportunities, superior public schools, affordable real estate, and great shopping facilities. Centrally located, Waterville is less then an hour from Maine's coast. This area encompasses a number of lakes and rivers, so Waterville offers excellent opportunities for water lovers. Excellent schools are great source of Waterville pride! With two public and two parochial elementary schools, parents can choose the academic career they want for their youngsters. Older students continue their educations in the Waterville public middle school and public high school. Some high school students choose to attend the Mid-Maine Technical Center, in conjunction with their regular high school curriculum, to prepare themselves to go straight into the workplace. Its an excellent option available right in your neighborhood.
