A terrific, well established private practice in the desirable college town of Waterville, Maine, is seeking another doctor to join their staff of two physicians (one FP and one Internist) and one FNP. This is an outpatient-only practice, but the opportunity to practice hospital medicine may be offered to the right individual if so desired. This practice does not offer OB services. The doctors in this practice have strong subspecialty skills in addiction / substance abuse / chemical dependency. While training in this area is not required, candidates with an interest in helping patients with these issues will make the best fit for this practice. The staff will happily provide full training to the incoming physician.
New or practicing physicians are welcome to apply for this position. Family physicians or internists are equally welcome. This is a full time position, which could be constructed as a four or five day/week schedule. The office holds evening hours one night a week, shared on a 1:3 basis. Otherwise, the call is handled by phone only on a 1:4 basis, covering the patients of this practice only. Admissions are referred to the MaineGeneral Medical Center here in Waterville where they will be cared for by a staff of exceptional hospitalists.
The selected candidate will be given an income guarantee through the practice’s supporting hospital along with paid relocation expenses. This may convert at some point to a base salary plus incentive plan / partnership scenario when appropriate. In addition, the practice provides benefits including health (with a co-pay), dental, and life insurance. After two years, a retirement program with some employer matching is also provided. Paid vacation and CME time, plus CME expenses, is also provided. There may even be a possibility of medical education debt assistance from the sponsoring hospital. Because of the outpatient only nature of this position, the incoming physician could settle anywhere within a reasonable commuting distance!
